Submissions

So you want to be a scarecrow, eh?...

We accept submissions via email only [in body text and not as attachment] on all subjects, especially fiction, poetry, essays, reviews. If you have any ideas please pitch these to us as well; we are always on the lookout for new writing projects.

As you can probably tell there are no rules at scarecrow - if we like it it's in, and if we don't it's not. It's as simple as that. We like our fiction to have bite, we like our poetry to speak and we like our reviews to be honest - we aren't looking for the next Ian McEwan, Beat Poet or Dale Peck. Those of you who read scarecrow quite frequently will know exactly what we are looking for. We want writing that's willing to both anger and delight. We want our writers to be honest. Nothing more, nothing less.

[Fiction Submissions]:

Please, if this prattling hasn't put you off and you still, indeed, would like to submit to scarecrow then, in the first instance at least, send your scribblings to Lee Rouke at: ljrourke9@hotmail.com and he will get back to you.

[Poetry Submissions]:

For those us you who would wish to submit poetry then please send it along to our Submissions Editor [Poetry] Gina Evans as soon as possible.

Thank-you for your continued support and interest.
